Under our slum reinvented project, we constructed a one of a kind slum house in Kasokoso slum kampala Uganda. From using plastic bottles as the foundation, to phased casting of compressed earth walls and recycled hanging beds, we made a home for a single mother and her five children and here is a summarised version of the construction process.

Call it the Ugandan Nobel Prize because Innovation Consortium is recognizing and rewarding outstanding local excellence in ideation and creation through the prestigious MEDAL OF EXCELLENCE.
In a world where TikTokers and ribaldrous online characters are more famous than philosophers, Innovation Consortium is realigning recognition to where it is due by celebrating and rewarding exceptional thinkers and ideators through the Medal of Excellence Award. This medal is awarded annually to someone or a team that exhibits excellence in ideation and creation in solving a specially chosen real-life related challenge.
Influenced by societal challenges, the boundlessly experienced Innovation Consortium team chooses a different challenge every year and the best submitted solution to that challenge wins the Medal of Excellence Award for that specific year. Each of these challenges is aimed at inspiring simple yet practical out-of-the-box solutions to everyday challenges. Each year’s challenge is named and themed after a local laudable innovator or creator. This medal is open to the general public without limitations on race, country, continent, age, gender, profession or background because we believe there is an innovator in each of us.
The award was started in 2022 by the innovation Consortium which is a duly registered group of companies and individuals with different, highly specialized skill sets and backgrounds, but all with a common goal of solving emerging world challenges through innovation. The Medal is designed and crafted locally by us and it is accompanied by an ever growing cash prize

After the 20 year LRA war ravaged Lira in northern Uganda, one man, Ojok Okello is creating OKERE CITY, a Utopia where African dreams are finding fertile ground to create a fully self-sustaining community powered by local initiative and SHEA butter (Ugandan Vibranium).
